dc.description.abstractBangalore is the capital of the Indian state of Karnataka. It is India's third most populous city and fifth-most populous urban agglomeration. Bangalore is known as the Silicon Valley of India because of it being the IT hub and hence the nation's leading Information technology exporter. The city is considered to be amongst the top ten preferred entrepreneurial locations of the world. The city is known for its varied cultural heritage.In this CCS project we shall try study and understand various aspects of Bangalore. The motivations behind this project are: 1) Interest in understanding the lifestyle and culture of the inhabitants of the city and capturing them in still photographs. 2) Interest in Lifestyle Photography. 3) Interest in meeting new people and interacting with them. The project aims to develop the first ever statistically representative snapshot of Bangalore. The project builds on a sampling frame that was developed as part of what is arguably the biggest data collection in the urban water sector (www.urbanmetabolism.in). The goal for the project is to understand various aspects of Bangalore.
