dc.description.abstractExport Import Bank of India, set up in 1982, for the purpose of financing, facilitating, and promoting foreign trade of India, is the principal financial institution in the country for co-ordinating working of institutions engaged in financing exports and imports. Also with a view to serve the growing needs of Indian exporters and to promote export Capability creation, EXIM has been introducing new landing programs and services every year. Its lending programme includes Programme for leasing companies and Credit for deemed contracts. Of late. the EXIM has started pursuing the search for various companies, organisations etc., who can make use of credit facilities offered by the bank. The report presents the list of 20 companies who could be the healthy prospects for EXIM bank. The search was conducted for 50 companies and out of those, 20 were finally selected. The selection although limited to Financial parameters, was made quite comprehensive to cover variety of aspects. Since the selection process is an ongoing process, a programme is also supplied along with this report to analyze any company for which the financial data (Balance sheet, P & L account, Industry class) is available. The programme is operatable in DBASE environment.
