dc.description.abstractThe internship gave me a flavor of organizations having a B2B model. The supply chain is a make-to-order one and the operations are job-shop in nature. Understanding the critical success factors of such an organization was a good learning. The C<».rlpallY' wae· se4i up abeut a year ago and there was a pressing need of standard and optimal systems and processes. The internship agenda was decided well before the start of the internship. ~~. sa~-wasdiscussed on the first day of the internship. The Managing Director and my project guides were involved in the discussion. An introduction about the company and the work was given in the first week. The work involved visiting suppliers and having d.i:sctrs'si0IlS""- antt negotiations with them. The other part of the project involved observing the systems and processes and discussing with the people concerned. There were weekly reviews with the Managing director.
