The internship started from 5th April, 2010 with an orientation program about Titan Industries followed by a visit to Titan factory at Hosur. GoldPlus had a business cascading meet during' this period where we got to interact with the all the stalwarts of the division. The next day we got allotted our respective projects and briefed about it. The 1st project was about the customer loyalty program and the 1st 2 weeks. went in doing d,atabase analysis to come up with some meaningful research. Then I had to visit the GoldPlus store in Tanjore to have a feel of the ground realities. I had to observe customer purchase, meet customers at their homes in my field trips. The experience was amazing and was helpful in gaining good insights for my project. Then the next few weeks were spent in designing the ananta questionnaire. Since the 1st' project was nearing to an end in about 1 month, I decided to take up another project which was about the Golden grammage scheme. This project involved a field visit to Erode and Tirupur in Tamil Nadu for a period of about 3 days. There were meetings with normal customers in the store as well as HNI such as company MOs, franchisees, store owners etc and the purpose was to identify their opinion about the scheme. Once that was done, I did further analysis needed for my project and made the final presentation.
