Mother Meera, who runs schools for the under-privileged in Madanapalle in Andhra Pradesh, provides a compelling case for japam as the most effective means to establish an inner connection to the Supreme. According to Mother Meera, the chanting or repetition of the name of God (otherwise known as japam) is the most effective way of developing our inner connection to God.
