dc.description.abstractIn my last column, I made a reference to the declining global ranks of Indias top universities. While its probably unrealistic to expect to see major improvements in our institutions in just a year or two, the fact that not a single top Indian institution had in 2011 a better rank than in 2010, could be a cause for concern.
