This paper talks about the learning crisis in public education system in India and how the situation can be improved by investing in Teacher Effectiveness. We use the existing literature of teacher training to understand the correlation between Teacher Effectiveness and Student learning outcomes. We further recommend the policy intervention by building on the existing Teacher Policies in India and suggesting innovative changes required to bring the desired change in student learning outcomes.-
