Abstract: The study is aimed to analyse the current Indian Embedded Software Industry and the trends that will drive this industry going forward. As a large part of the Indian Embedded Industry caters to the global market, the report also takes into perspective a global scenario, and studies the trends in the various sectors that use embedded softwares such as automobiles, medical and industrial. The report begins be explaining what an embedded software is and where it is use. With rapid advancements in technology, embedded softwares have come a long way to being extremely critical for a large number of applications ranging from their use in mobile phones to aircrafts and space crafts. The report then estimates the market size of the Global and the Indian embedded software industry, using projections from published resources. Individual break-up across geographies and industries is also mentioned and explanations provided for the growth trends. The report later looks at the benefits that clusters offer when it comes to the embedded software and discusses two scenarios one with and the other without a cluster and mentions the added benefits that are derived by the customer and the seller in the case of a cluster. Finally the report looks at the recent trends in the embedded software industry in India. Through extensive secondary research and tracking news flow on the internet, the report highlights the gradual shift up the embedded value chain for the Indian Embedded Software Industry. Initiatives by bodies such as NASSCOM to better the state of this industry have also been covered. Finally, there port mentions the recent Joint Ventures, Market entries and Mergers and Acquisitions in this industry.
