dc.description.abstractRobert Bosch GmbH, headquartered in Stuttgart Germany, is world leader in automotive technology. Bosch group is also dominantly present in other sectors viz. Industry technology, Energy and Building technology, Consumer goods and Services etc. Bosch Limited, formerly known as MICO, is Bosch group s long harboured subsidiary in India. Over the years since its inception, Bosch Ltd. (India) has faced numerous challenges due to India s political, economic and cultural environment. This paper analyses the main reason for Bosch group to go global in general and strategic importance that India subsidiary holds in specific.
