dc.description.abstractThe objective of this work is to study the corporate governance aspects of Aditya Birla group and study its linkages to the group s strategy over the years. The study on corporate governance would include details such as intercompany holdings and transactions within the group, director interlocking, facilitating role of different boards in multiple aspects of the business etc. The project would also try to cover the impact of promoter family interests on minority stakeholder s interest. Aditya Birla Nuvo, Hindalco, Idea, Grasim and Ultratech are the companies whose governance and the linkages to strategy would be studied as part of this work. There companies are selected based on the size and the importance hold within the group. We would like to thank Prof. Rejie George who has guided us at every step of the way resulting in this work seeing light at the end of the day.
