Abstract: We are all aware of the boom in the restaurant sector in India, particularly in the metro cities. The Indian economy is on a high growth path and is expected to sustain this growth for next few years. This is bound to result in high disposable incomes and higher consumer expenditure in the food service sector. The restaurant industry is an important component of our nation’s economy, and opportunities in this sector should continue to grow in the future as a result of demographic changes taking place. Merrill Lynch estimates that Indian consumers spend only 2.4 percent of their food expenditure in hotels and restaurants as compared to American and British consumers who spend 46 percent and 29 percent respectively. This indicates that there is tremendous scope for growth of food service sector in India in years to come. Delhi is the city of the super rich. As per a study conducted by Media Research Users Council, every second Platinum household is in Delhi. Eating out has emerged as a trend, which is prevalent within this elite group. Our restaurant is targeted towards this group of consumers.
