Abstract: Objective of the Study 1. To analyse the present insurance sector in the country and the key drivers of growth for insurance in India. 2. To study the structure of an insurance company, its key drivers and challenges. 3. Research the history of the Insurance sector, to analyse the reasons for the liberalisation and to understand the Role of the regulator in the sector. 4. To analyse the impact of liberalisation and the strategy changes with respect to LIC, GIC and the Private players. Also, study any questions left unanswered by liberalisation. 5. Role of Joint Venture in the Insurance sector 6. Comparison of Chinese Insurance Industry with India 7. Future Trends predictable in the Insurance Sector in India Research Methodology To achieve the objectives of this research, efforts have been made to collect secondary data from the various insurance players, websites, research sources, and statistical sources. Along with this primary resarch has been done which includes interviews of various academicians and professionals in the Insurance Sector, managers working in various companies and customers of the Insurance industry.
