The project s aim was to compare the different technologies in solar plant and their impact on capacity utilization factor. An engineering model is developed in spreadsheet that requires the project details. The details include the module selected, losses, efficiencies, solar irradiance level, etc. Average annual generation in units (Kilo Watt hour) is calculated and capacity utilization factor (CUF) or plant load factor is calculated (PLF).
