This report evaluates the fund raising strategies that can be employed by Ekal movement. The report has two major parts. The first one analyzes the details of the Ekal movement. This part encompasses the study of the movement that was carried out by us for deeper understanding of the ideology of Ekal and the organizational processes and systems. The understanding of the organization was achieved through series of meetings with the volunteers and the workers. The fundraising events were attended along with the south zone coordination meet conducted recently in Bangalore. Based on our understanding of the movement, fund raising strategies have been proposed. These strategies form the second part of the report. A survey was conducted to understand the current standing of Ekal movement in the minds of the average urban population mostly in Bangalore and see what kinds of options are available to Ekal. The second part also constitutes our understanding of the marketing principles and literature, which are used to come up with the recommendations to Ekal.
