Abstract: We conducted a study on reviewing the factors that foster technology entrepreneurship in India for people who have returned to India after a period of stay abroad. We wanted to understand the correlation between their time spent abroad and the propensity to startup, and their ability to execute the venture and tackle challenges. We also analyzed the entrepreneurial environment in India from the perspective of the entrepreneur and contrast it with the environment that he/she would have experienced abroad. As a result of this study we developed key recommendations for the various stakeholders of who can help create a better entrepreneurial environment.
