Abstract: Intel Corporation, a semiconductor giant in processors and chipsets, with revenues of about $28Bn is looking at new emerging markets of India and China. The Asia pacific contributes about 40% of the revenues out of which India about 2%. Intel commands more than 80% of the market share in the Indian market - that means out of 100computers/laptops sold, 80 of them are on Intel Architecture. So the obvious problem statement is - where does the growth come from? Even if Intel wins the remaining 20%of market share, it won't even add more than a dime to the total revenues. So what should Intel do to increase the revenues from the Indian Market, which is emerging? What are the different new areas to increase the revenues from ?The paper will attempt to present a strategy for Intel to ensure growth goes ahead of normal market growth with market share protected at 90% by identifying new markets ,new products , applications tuned to the emerging markets of India (china, brazil and Russia)
