Biography
Anshuman Tripathy has been a faculty member in the Production & Operations Management Area since 2011. He was previously a faculty member at IIM Ahmedabad. His research and teaching interests are in the areas of Product Development, Engineering and Development Organisations, and Operations Strategy, primarily in industries involved in the design and development of complex engineered systems. At IIM Bangalore, he teaches the core course on Operations Management, and offers an elective on Technology & Operations Strategy in the PGP and the EPGP programmes. He also offers sessions on Operations Management, Toyota Production System, Product Development Strategy, Design Strategy, Technology Management, etc. in various Executive Education Programmes. After his PGDM, Professor Tripathy worked for more than 10 years in the automotive industry at Maruti Udyog Ltd. and Ford India Ltd. in India and USA, holding senior management positions in Purchasing, eBusiness Strategy Development, Programme Management, and Product Development. His last position, before he took up academics, was General Manager of the Product Engineering function at Ford India Ltd.
