Biography
MAENG, Hyun Chul is an Assistant Professor in Marketing at IIM Bangalore. He received his PhD in Marketing from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology under supervision of Rashmi Adaval. His research interests are in strategic communications between informed sellers and uninformed consumers, and in behavioral pricing strategies. He uses both experimental and analytical tools to gain interesting insights that are of managerial relevance. He received BBA and MSc in management from Seoul National University, Korea. Prior to his PhD studies, he has worked at LG Chem as a channel coordinator and engaged in extensive volunteer work in education in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
