Abstract: While India is now a favoured manufacturing and services destination for global aerospace majors, there are still many hurdles to be crossed. Chris Rao, Vice President of Goodrich Aerospace Services India, a subsidiary of the $9 billion US-based multinational, who has built the Indian operations from a loss-making entity to a major hub for the parent company, shows the way forward in what still is one of the most fiercely protected industries, with stringent certification processes.
